After seeing an exhibition of lithographs by Rochester architect
Walter Cassebeer, acquires a lithographic press and stones

Begins to draw portraits of socialites and newsmakers for Town
Tidings - The Magazine of Western New York and the Rochester Times

Makes the first of two trips to Zena, near Woodstock, NY,
to study with master lithographer Bolton Brown
